It’s another disappointing day for Nigeria at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Tobi Amusan, the 100m hurdles world record holder, missed out on the finals after placing third in her semi-final heat.
Her time of 12.55 seconds was just 0.03 seconds short of qualifying as a non-automatic finalist, extending her search for Olympic gold.

Additionally, Nigeria’s men’s 4x400m relay team, led by Chidi Okezie, faced disqualification in the semi-finals due to a lane violation, despite initially placing second.
These setbacks are certainly tough for the Nigerian team, especially considering the high hopes on these athletes.
