The Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has described its members who massively defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, during the PDP Mega Rally on Saturday in Asaba as the unwanted clogs on the wheels of stability of the Party in the State.

APC in a statement by its State Secretary, Pius Ituru says the Party was pleased to purge itself of undercover PDP electoral merchants whose financial demands while in APC were insatiable.

The statement averred that it is more relieving to see that the political traders who collected money from the PDP in 2019 to work against their Party, yet lost the election in their various units have gone to their pay masters knowing that their business has been frustrated.

APC bigwigs in Delta State that defected to the PDP at Saturday’s Mega Rally were; former factional State Chairman, Cyril Ogodo; State Publicity Secretary of the APC Caretaker Committee, Sylvester Imonina; former Senatorial Chairman of APC, Ben Onwuka, APC support groups including Ovie Omo-Agege Solidarity Movement, G30 APC group led by Sylvester Ogbokuni; Leaders and Elders Council of APC Delta Central led by Sylvester Kohwo, among hundreds of others.

Delta State has been in the eye of the political storm with the intention of the ruling APC at the centre to capture, come 2023 general election.
