Internal crisis has engulfed the Cross River State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, as a Factional Chairman and Secretary emerge in the State.
The New Secretary of the political parties Group, Henry Iso, said the new leadership became necessary, following the alleged suspension of the Anthony Attah Bisong – led executive of IPAC by his political party, the Young Peoples Party YPP.
Addressing Journalists in Calabar, the new Chairman of IPAC, Comrade Edet Okon said the Bisong-led leadership of IPAC was creating tension in Cross River State by making inflammatory statements on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner REC, the Commissioner of Police, and the Department Of State Services DSS which were capable of disrupting the peace of the state, hence his removal.

Edet Okon said his selection for the new leadership had the backing of the IPAC National body.
Sources from the Executive of the IPAC however described the purported removal of the Bisong- led IPAC as an academic exercise, saying light will always prevail over darkness.
The Factional Head expressed readiness to work with INEC and the Security agencies to conduct peaceful elections in Cross River State.
