The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expelled the former Governor of Enugu State Chimaroke Nnamani and six others from the party, weeks after suspending them over allegations of anti-party activities.

Citing sections 58 and 59 (1)(g) of the PDP constitution 2017 as amended, the National Publicity Secretary of the Party Debo Ologunagba explains that the party’s actions which take effect from Friday, February 10, 2023, follow a gross violation of the PDP laws.

The expelled members include:

Senator Chimaroke Nnamani , former Governor of Enugu State

Chris Ogbu from Imo state

Ajijola Lateef Oladimeji  of Ekiti Central,

Olayinka James Olalere of Ekiti Central II,

Fayose Oluwajomiloju  John of Ekiti Central I,

Akerele Oluyinka of Ekiti North I,

Emiola Adenike Jennifer of Ekiti South

The party’s disciplinary committee had earlier granted pardon to at least two members of the party in Ekiti State on grounds of what it described as manifest remorse and apology for their Misconduct.

The PDP however charges its members to remain united and focused on the party’s mission to rescue, rebuild and redirect the nation.
