The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen has condemned the abduction of children from Government Secondary School, Kagara, Niger State.

Tallen in a statement said the act further shows that criminal gangs in the country are callous and have no respect for the dignity of human beings as enshrined in our laws and religious books.

She hinted that as a mother, she pleads with the abductors to please have the fear of God and exercise a little compassion by releasing the young Nigerians.

And that keeping the innocent citizens in captivity for no offense committed by them is not the right thing to do no matter the grievances.

The Women Affairs Minister also called on the parents of the abducted students to conduct themselves in a calm way to enable the government to come to the rescue of the children and believe that government is on top of the situation.
