The Peoples Democratic Party PDP has cancelled the Kaduna Central senatorial primary election held on 23rd May, 2022.
A statement signed by the Kaduna state PDP secretary Ibrahim Wusono states that the decision to cancel the election was taking based on the National Assembly Appeal Committee report and recommendation.
The Secretary of the Kaduna state chapter of the PDP told ait.live via a telephone interview that the cancelation was due to several petitions filed by the aspirants to the election appeal committee.
He however said that the Kaduna central senatorial primary election will not hold on the 4th of June as contained in the statement, as the state chapter of the party awaits further directives from the party’s national headquarters.
