The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Senator Iyorchia Ayu has refuted social media reports that he had been suspended over alleged misappropriation of funds.
In statement signed by the special adviser to the National Chairman on Communications and Strategy Simon Imobo-Tswam, the party’s national Chairman emphatically stated that there were no truth in what he described as a mischievous and baseless facebook publications.
Ayu further clarified that he had handed over to the Deputy National Chairman North Umar Damagum before embarking on a two week leave.
Senator Ayu said he is due to resume duties on July 6, 2022.
