Atiku and Wike met barely two days after the Governor of Rivers State was reported to have held similar meeting with the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London.
It is however not clear yet if both Atiku and Wike were able to advance on their previous talks back home and agreed in concrete terms to work together for Atiku’s victory at the polls next year.
Relations had strained between both men with Wike aggrieved over the outcome of the Presidential primaries that produced Atiku as winner in June.
