The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Cross River State says it will enforce party discipline on any erring member no matter how highly placed in the party or Government.
State PDP Chairman, Edim Inok Edim stated this while confirming to ait.live the disqualification of member representing Yala-Ogoja Federal Constituency, Jarigbe Agom from participating in the primaries to elect a candidate for the Cross River North Senatorial District bye-election.
Edim who said the disqualified aspirant went against the party guidelines, explained that all is set for the primaries of the party for only 4 aspirants who have been cleared to participate in the exercise.

Efforts to speak with Agom were not successful as several calls made to his mobile phone were not answered or returned. PDP has fixed Saturday September 5, for the party’s primaries to produce a candidate that will participate in the bye-election that will be conducted by INEC on October 31.
