The Peoples Democratic Governors’ Forum has expressed concern over what it described as excruciating hardship and sufferings being faced by Nigerians under the APC led Federal Government.
The position is contained in a communique issued at the end of her regular meeting hosted by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in Aba, Abia state.
The Forum notes the readiness of the major opposition PDP, to take over leadership, rescue the nation and ameliorate the hardships facing Nigerians in all facets of life.
The communiqué read by the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State noted that in 2015 under the PDP-led administration, life was better with Nigerians as exemplified by comparative indicators obtained from the National Bureau of statistics.
The Governors also expressed concern that over seventy thousand hectares of arable farmland have been abandoned in the North East region of the country due to high level of insecurity leading to food insecurity, hunger and poverty
The forum also expressed surprise that in the face of the obvious failures, the APC still wants to be on the ballot in the 2023 polls, urging Nigerians to reject the ruling APC in the 2023 general elections
Twelve Governors attended the meeting in Abia state.
