River State Governor Nyesom Wike and his colleagues from Benue and Abia, Samuel Ortom and Okezie Ikpeazu say the meetings they held in London and Paris with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi and Presidential Candidate of PDP are all part of wider consultations beyond party interest geared towards rescuing Nigeria from challenges threatening its existence.

Speaking after they arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport on Friday, Governor Wike says no concrete agreement was reached in his much talked about meeting with the PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar, but however added that talks are still on going.

After holding a number of high profile talks in London and Paris, Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu; Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom and Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike are back in Nigeria…

Their flight from London touched down at the Port Harcourt International Airport at about 2PM local time.

Governor Wike and members of his time had while away held separate meetings with the Presidential Candidate of the APC Bola Tinubu, Former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party Peter Obi.

They say Nigeria is distress and desperately in need of help from every quarter.

The Governors say they will widen their consultations at home and abroad.

The visit to London also saw Governor Wike and his team meeting for the first time with the Presidential Candidate of their party the PDP Atiku Abubakar.

Governor Wike however disclosed that there were no concrete agreement during the talks.

He wants Nigerians to ignore those he terms selfish politicians who do not believe in the unity and existence of the country.

Nyesom Wike says he would also not succumb to any blackmail or intimidation.

And as they return home to hold wider consultations on how to rescue Nigeria, Governor Nyesom Wike, Governor Samuel Ortom and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu say they are optimistic that things would be better in Nigeria, a country with enormous potentials.
