The People’s democratic party, PDP, Federal Capital Territory Secretariat, has handed over certificates of return and nomination forms to six area council chairmanship and sixty-two councilorship candidates after the party’s just concluded primaries.
The primaries were conducted ahead of the FCT Area Council election scheduled to hold on February 21, 2026.
During the event, the PDP FCT chairman, Ismaila Dogara, charged the candidates to be of good conduct and assured them of victory in the upcoming polls.

Ismaili says the People’s democratic party has all it takes to win all the seats in the FCT and also expressed optimism about the party’s victory in the upcoming elections across Nigeria.
The candidates and other key players of the party pledged their loyalty to the PDP and promised to ensure the party’s victory in all elections.
