The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has appointed Senator Philip Aduda representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT as the new Minority Leader of the Senate.
The appointment is contained in a letter signed by the PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and read at plenary by President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.
Aduda’s appointment follows the resignation of the former Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia State who formally defected from PDP to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
The letter also named Senator Chukwuka Utazi representing Enugu North as the new Minority Whip. He replaces Senator Aduda who has just been appointed as the new Senate Minority Leader.
