The National Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu has been suspended from the party by the executives of his Igyorov Council Ward in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, North-Central Nigeria.
His suspension which was announced by the Igyorov PDP Ward Secretary, Vangeryina Dooyum followed the meeting of the executives who reviewed the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
The former President of the Nigerian Senate who lost the elections in his polling unit, council ward, and local government was reportedly found culpable of anti-party activities during the March 18 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
Ayu’s suspension is coming on the heels of allegations that he worked for the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC during the March 18, 2023 election in Benue State.
It will be recalled that Former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and his PDP counterpart, Uche Secondus were removed from office after suspension by their ward executives in Edo and Rivers States
