The National Working Committee, NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party has directed its National disciplinary committee to extensively review the alleged involvement in anti-party activities of Benue state governor Samuel Ortom in the 2023 general elections.
The party’s directive was issued in a statement by the National publicity secretary, Debo Ologunagba in Abuja.

Ologunagba noted that the NWC also approved the suspension of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim, and former Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State from the party.
Others suspended were Prof. Dennis Ityavyar, Benue, and Dr. Aslam Aliyu from Zamfara state.
The publicity secretary further stated that the party leadership took the decision after a broad review of its affairs in the country and pursuant to the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017)
He urged all leaders, key stakeholders, and teeming members of The Party across the country to remain united and focused at this critical time.
