PDP set for showdown with APC in Cross River State over party Secretariat

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP vows to recover its secretariat complex in Cross River State that has been taken over by the All Progressives Congress, APC following the defection of Governor Ben Ayade.

The decision was taken as hundreds of party members and supporters attended the stakeholders meeting of the party in Calabar, the state capital.

The leadership of the PDP in Cross River State says the party is still in charge of the state despite the defection of Governor Ayade to the APC.

The leaders led by former Governor Liyel Imoke, members of Board of Trustees and National Assembly lawmakers say they will do everything to protect the party and its interest in the State.
