As the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN joined their counterparts across the globe to celebrate “Pentecost Day,” members of the church in Port Harcourt, Rivers State called on Nigerians to promote unity in diversity for a stronger nation.
They made the call at the church of God mission in Port Harcourt asking christians to continue to pray for the growth and development of the country.
The pentecostal churches in Port Harcourt had gathered to observe pentecost Day with the theme, “Anointed with fresh oil” as prayers were offered for the unity and progress of the nation and Rivers State in particular.
Rivers State chairman of PFN, Reverend Minaibi Dagogo-Jack and other fathers of faith urged Nigerians to see their diversity in language and culture as a symbol of unity and strength.

Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ while they were gathered in a room in Jerusalem praying .
It is usually celebrated on the seventh Sunday after Easter which is also fifty days after Easter.
