The Chief of Air Staff, Sunday Aneke, says the welfare of security personnel is critical to winning the war against insurgency in Nigeria.
Aneke made this known at the official opening of the Air Staff Quarters in Abuja, where he stressed that personnel require a conducive living environment to enable them perform optimally in the discharge of their duties.
He noted that improving accommodation and general welfare remains a strategic priority in strengthening operational effectiveness and boosting morale within the force.
There is no gainsaying that security personnel in Nigeria require improved welfare support to effectively manage the emotional and psychological stress associated with their duties.
To address this, the Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Aneke, is taking proactive steps to provide decent accommodation for Air Force personnel, thereby relieving them from the burden of exploitative landlords and creating a more stable living environment.
The Air Force management says it will continue to prioritise the well-being of its personnel across all units, in order to properly position them to achieve the new mandate of ending insurgency in the country.
The staff accommodation comprises two categories, designed to provide decent and comfortable housing for personnel of the Air Force.
