Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has allocated five Special Assistant slots to Kebbi State chapter of the Deaf and Dumb Association.
He disclosed this during a breaking of fast with the executive and some selected members of the association, at Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
The governor said the gesture is meant to give all manners of people in the state a sense of belonging, saying that his government is one of the people, for the people and by the people.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the leader of the team, Issa Umar Ambursa, told the governor that they were not considered in some of the slots for Special Assistant cadre given to persons with disabilities in the state.
Ambursa explained that their members participated in the campaign both within the urban and rural areas.
He assured the governor of their collective resolve to stand by him come 2027.
