Persons living with disabilities have said that they have the capacity to rebuild the economy, despite the setbacks orchestrated by the COVID-19 pandemic if given the opportunity to contribute their quota.
Speaking at a one-day symposium in commemoration of the 2020 International Day of Persons With Disabilities in Kaduna, these persons with disabilities said, rebuilding the economy in the post COVID era, will require contributions from everyone, including persons with special needs.
While lamenting their non-inclusion by government, they said if given the opportunity, they can effectively contribute towards rebuilding the economy, in the post COVID era.

Participants at the symposium believe that, for persons with disabilities to contribute meaningfully towards rebuilding the economy, the government needs to trust them, without considering their physical states.
These persons with special needs are of the view that the quickest way to rebuild a better economy in the post COVID era, is when there is an inclusive participation in the process of revamping and sustaining the economy.
