Peter Obi Donates N20m To Mokwa Flood Victims

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has donated N20 million to victims of the flood disaster in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.

Obi made the donation when he paid a sympathy visit to the State, promising to personally visit the families of the victims and interface with them at a later date.

The former Labour Party presidential candidate was received on arrival at the Niger State Government House, by the Deputy Governor, Yakubu Garba.

Peter Obi during the visit expressed sympathy to the government and the people of the State over the loss, saying whatever affects Niger State, affects the country at large.

The ex-Anambra State Governor, “prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and for God to grant the affected families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”

The Deputy Governor, Yakubu Garba who received Obi thanked the former Anambra State Governor for supporting the distressed Mokwa flood victims.

He also commended him for his kindness and love for humanity, especially in the support of victims of natural disasters.
