Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has announced a one billion naira support grant for market women and small businesses to cushion the effect of a constantly increasing fuel price and its impact on the cost of goods and services.
The Governor made this announcement when he attended the annual get-together organised by the women for the Governor as their grand patron in Benin City.
Representatives of market women from the eighteen local government areas of Edo State are meeting with Governor Godwin Obaseki in Benin City.
Leader of the State Market Women Association, Blacky Ogiamien commended the Governor for the positive effect of the Governor’s administration since its inception in 2016.

In appreciation, she assured that the women will turn out en-mass for the standard bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Asue Ighodalo.
Governor Obaseki assured them of the PDP candidate’s competence and ability to sustain and even surpass his developmental achievements.
He Acknowledge the steady increase in fuel price and its impact on the prices of commodities, goods and services necessitating the one billion naira grant.
