After marathon deliberation for close to eight hours, stakeholders in the petroleum industry have agreed to within days, deal with the lingering fuel crisis and increased fuel pump prices.
The meeting had in attendance, the leadership of the joint security services, the Nigeria Depots and Tank Farms, MOMMAN, Depot and Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, DAPMAN, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC limited also had The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA scribe present.

The outcome of engagement with partners includes selling fuel at an agreed ex-depot price, which will reflect in the reduction in pump price.
The representative of the marketers also tendered an unreserved apology to Nigerians for the hardship, caused as a result of the scarcity.
Nigerians have been advised to be patient and desist from panic buying as the situation will soon disappear.
