The Irigwe people in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State have alleged that another plan to attack members of the community has been perfected.

The alarm is coming days after the alleged destruction of crops worth millions of naira belonging to the Irigwe and rumoured killing eighty seven Cows belonging to the Fulani which both sides have since accused each other of being responsible

The Secretary-General of the Irigwe Development Association, Danjuma Dickson Auta, in a statement on Tuesday said the Fulani were allegedly planning the attack.

According to Auta, “we wish to state here that we received vital information of planned, orchestrated and coordinated attacks on our communities by the Fulani armed men.”

But in a swift reaction, the chairman of Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in Plateau State Muhammad Nura denied the allegation and distanced itself and its members from any planned attack.

Nura, who also accused the Irigwe people of killing Eighty Seven Cows belonging to the Fulanis said the alarm raised by the Irigwe is false.
