The plateau State Government has commenced the distribution of agricultural inputs.
The move is part of efforts to tackle food insecurity and enable Internally Displaced Persons to gain back their ancestral lands,
Governor Caleb Mutfwang disclosed that his administration will continue to support farmers with high yielding of maize, rice and wheat seedlings to tackle the issues of food insecurity.
Distributing the assorted seedlings to the farmers the Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Nyam Gai, who represented the governor, said the intervention would go a long way in alleviating the sufferings of farmers.
The Chairman of All Farmers Association, Plateau state, Pam Bot and other participants expressed satisfaction, saying the intervention came in handy and will make very good use of the seedlings.
The intervention will help farmers produce good quality and quantity yields as well as boost crop production
