Christians in Nigeria have been urged to put denominational differences aside and work for the common good of the body of Christ in the country.
Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, made this plea during rededication of the Plateau State Government House Chapel in Jos.
Heads of various church denominations, security chiefs, heads of federal and state parastatals, politicians serving and retired, and traditional rulers all gathered under one roof, setting all differences aside to worship God in one accord.
Like King David, Governor Mutfwang whose joy knew no bounds took his time to also lead the congregation in a praise session. He used the occasion to stress the need for unity, not just for the people of the state but even for those who have over the years adopted Plateau State as their home.
Guest speaker at the event, Gbile Akani, challenged the people of the state to create a dwelling place for God in their hearts, as that will make them prosper in all endeavours.
The Chapel of Mercy, which was built during the administration of Governor Joshua Dariye and served as a spiritual pillar of support for past Governors, was dedicated by the CAN State Chairman, Reverend Father Polycarp Lubo, with the support of other clergymen who prayed for the State and Nigeria.
