Plateau APC Governorship Candidate

The Plateau State Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the March 18 Election Nentawe Yilwatda, said nobody can pressurize him against challenging the outcome of the election at the Tribunal.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Generation Next Campaign Council spokesperson, Shittu Bamayi in Jos While Reacting to a newspaper report and rumours that talks are on to stop the party from going to the tribunal.

Bamaiyi, stated that no amount of pressure would stop the APC and its governorship Candidate from challenging the outcome of the governorship election at the Tribunal.

The Generation Next Spokesman also emphasized that for the PDP to think that by exerting unnecessary pressure and sending emissaries would make the APC withdraw the case from the tribunal, is just a fallacy.

He emphatically explained that the APC had harvested enough evidence and witnesses to present at the tribunal to prove that the governorship election was massively rigged in favour of the PDP.

But in a swift reaction on Monday, the State PDP Publicity Secretary, John Akans described the allegations as unfounded and laughable, while insisting that the PDP won the election and was not afraid of meeting anyone challenging the outcome.

According to Akans, the PDP and its Governor-elect, Caleb Mutfwang, believe in the unity, peace, and progress of Plateau which was the reason the Governor-Elect extended an olive branch to those that contested against him.

The PDP spokesman explained, that they are not the ones who advised APC not to go to tribunal, and so they have no business whatsoever to pressurise them against continuing with their case.

The Plateau State Governor-Elect, Caleb Mutfwang of the PDP had Polled 525,299 votes to defeat Nentawe Yilwada of the APC who Scored 481,370 Votes in the Just Concluded Governorship Election
