Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang

The Plateau state Government is appealing to the Federal Government to come to the aid of people of Wase Local Government Area by Completing the bridge linking them to Other Local Governments in the Southern zone of the state.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, made the appeal when he visited the site of the uncompleted bridge during a state visit to wase recently.

The bridge located at Kogin kasa along Langtang North and South, Wase road is the easiest outlet from Wase to Langtang, Mikang, Shendam, Quan Pan and the Central Zone as well as the state capital Jos.

The Contract was awarded six years ago by the federal government through a SUKUK bond, but it is yet to be completed.

Worried about the plight of the people, Governor Caleb Mutfwang recently visited the site where he assured the people of contacting the relevant authorities handling the contract to ensure that it is completed to ease the suffering of citizens especially during the rainy season.

Chairman of Wase local government council, Hamisu Anani is worried that the project has lingered for too long while the people are always cut off from other parts of the state .

,The Emir of Wase, Mohammadu Sambo and the Ponzhi of Kadarko chiefdom lot Nden, said being loyal and supportive to the government at all levels, the people deserve good infrastructure.

In the absence of the bridge, commuters can only access wase town through local canoe ,who usually charge one thousand naira a situation they describe as worrisome considering the economic hardship.
