He called on the citizens of the state to remain calm as government and security operatives are making efforts to restore peace in the state.

The governor has equally directed security agents to deal decisively with anyone bent on causing unrest in any part of the state.

The governor expressed concern that the crisis has taken the state backward, as he commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones.

He said that the government will pay the hospital bills of those still receiving treatments at the various hospitals across the state.

As part of measures to curb the attacks, the governor said, his visit to the president was to seek more support to address the problem and to also discuss with other relevant authorities to distribute relief materials to the affected communities.

Lalong also emphasized his government’s commitment to protecting the students of the University of Jos.
