The killing of at least 30 people in an attack on Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has drawn urgent attention from the Presidency.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday met with Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he received a briefing on the incident and the security situation in the state.
Governor Mutfwang described the Sunday evening attack as unfortunate, noting that security agencies have since moved to contain the situation through coordinated operations.

He said the engagement with the President enabled him to present a direct account of the incident, highlight actions already taken by the state government, and outline further steps to prevent a recurrence.
The governor expressed confidence that ongoing interventions could signal a shift in efforts to address insecurity in Plateau State, assuring residents of reinforced measures to protect lives and property.
