In Plateau State, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has moved to counter widespread speculation that key members are planning to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At a press briefing in Jos, PDP State Chairman Chris Hassan addressed the rumors.

Speaking on the recent security challenges in the state, the Chairman condemned the attacks on villages and expressed appreciation for the prompt action taken by the state government and security forces.
“The party leadership also acknowledged Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s administration’s progress, particularly given the persistent security challenges facing the state.”
