The Plateau State Police Command said there will be no any form of activities including prayers on all Eid grounds in the state during the during the 2020 Eid- Kabir.
The command also said it would deploy a total of 2,096 personnel to different locations to ensure a crime-free Sallah celebration across the state.
In a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson, ASP Ubah Gabriel, indicated that the decision was taken following a meeting of all security chiefs, religious leaders, and critical stakeholders in the state.
He added, that in line with the state government’s directive on COVID-19 protocol, prayers could be observed at area/ward mosques with not more than 50 worshippers with strict compliance social distancing, use of hand sanitisers and the wearing of face mask during the prayers.

The command while calling on the members of the public to be security conscious, admonished parents and guardians to counsel their children on any form of activities in the state.
