Some residents of Jos, the Plateau state capital, have expressed concerns over the slow pace of distribution of the permanent voter cards, adding that with the slow process, many may not be able to collect their PVCs before the deadline, even with the additional days of collection added by INEC.
With the 2023 election in sight, Nigerians seem eager to participate fully, going by the number of people seen at PVC collection centers in Jos, the Plateau state capital. But the challenges associated with the process of collection is causing anxiety amongst those yet to get theirs.
In this collection center, eligible voters turned up very early, but until 10 a.m., the staff of INEC were nowhere to be found but when they eventually arrived, there was some mild rush.

Residents are appealing to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make the process less cumbersome so as to encourage more people to collect their PVCs.
They also called for peaceful elections to enable Nigerians choose their next set of leaders.
.For now, their major concern is getting hold of their PVCs to be part of those who will decide the next line of action for the well-being of the nation.
