The Plateau State Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up to look into the brutality and the extrajudicial killings by the now-disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, unit of the Nigeria Police Force, has assured residents in the state of total Justice.
Chairperson of the Panel, Justice Philomina Lot, made this known during the inaugural sitting of the Panel in Jos.
She also underscored the terms of reference given to them, hence the need to deliver Justice.

Representative of the body of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria at the sitting also expressed concern over security of lives and properties in the state.

Also Speaking, the National Human Rights Commission emphasized the need for Justice to be done on all petitions, while the Nigeria Bar Association announced that it will offer pro bono services.

Citizens in the state are, therefore, hopeful that victims will receive Justice when the recommendations are implemented.
The Panel has six months to complete the assignment.
