The Plateau State Government has announced readiness to host the 2020 edition of the National Festival of Arts and Culture; promising to make memorable.
To achieve this, the Governor of Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong on Friday ordered the Central Planning Committee to ensure necessary arrangements are put in place for a successful event.
The State Commissioner of Information and Communication who also doubles as Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee, NAFEST 2020, Dan Manjang in a statement in Jos assured that the Planning Committee is up to the task.
Manjang said the cultural diversity of the State and being Nigeria’s melting pot and nexus between the North and the South offers a veritable platform to reinforce Nigeria’s unity.
He stated that Plateau people will in their characteristic nature extend their hospitality to participants and tourists.

The event which is expected to be chaired by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Tourism and Culture, Rochas Okorocha has the Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni as Special guest.
The cultural festival will hold from 22nd to the 28th of November at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos; closing with a golf tournament at the Rayfield Golf club.
