Plight of students worries Nigerian govt over escalation of hostilities in Sudan

The Chairman/CEO, of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has noted with concern, the plight of Nigerian students in Sudan, over the escalation of hostilities between the Sudanese Army and the Paramilitary Group Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Dabiri-Erewan in a statement said the commission has received a letter of Solicitation from the National Association of Nigerian Students in Sudan, for possible evacuation of students, especially those in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital, and assured that the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) which is in charge of emergency evacuations, is consulting with the Nigerian mission in Sudan, and other relevant agencies.
