The DG National Senior Citizens Centre, Emem Omokara has raised concerns about the plight of the aged in society and persons with disabilities.
At a briefing at the National Senior Citizens Centre in Abuja, speakers stressed the need for policies to address their needs.

As a first step to tackling this challenge, the centre is partnering with the Anambra state government to give a better life to this important population.
Other speakers stressed Federal Government’s Commitment to sign into law, acts that will give preference to the aged and Persons with Disabilities.
There were renewed calls at the meeting to take and give them their pride of place in the society.
