Consumers of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Zamfara State are groaning over the recent hike in the price of the Petroleum product and are therefore asking the Federal Government to reverse the fuel subsidy removal policy, which according to them, is responsible for the current economic hardship in the country.

They made the call while speaking with AIT News Correspondent in Gusau, the State capital on the issue.

The residents also appealed to Government to find ways of ameliorating the challenges facing Nigeria and noted that life is not easy for the poor because of the removal of fuel subsidy that has pushed the prices of commodities beyond the reach of the masses.
Some of the filling stations dispensing the product are selling at one thousand, one hundred and fifteen naira while the NNPC Mega Stations are dispensing at one thousand and seventy naira.
According to one of the attendants of a certain filling station in Gusau, their station is still selling in the old of one thousand, one hundred and fifteen naira.

In Gusau Metropolis, many commercial motorcycle and tricycle operators have stopped work because they can no longer afford the new petrol price, leaving only a few on the roads.
