The Police in Bauchi have arrested 18 years old suspected kidnapper, Manu Alhaji, with an AK-47 rifle in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
A press statement released by the Police spokesman, Ahmed Wakil, said that the suspect along with six others who are at large, conspired, armed with AK-47 rifles and raided Jamaare – Kazaure village in Alkaleri Local Government Area and kidnapped one Ya’u Sambo, of Bangaji village who later escaped.
According to the police, while acting on the tip off, the suspect was arrested while treating himself at the Primary Health Care Centre Mansur after he stepped on a dangerous shrub called (Tafasa) which brutally pierced and injured his leg.

The suspect was further identified by his physique and intonation.
The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) Bauchi, for further investigation.
