The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 35 suspected criminals for offences ranging from armed robbery to murder and kidnapping.
A murder suspect, Shagbada Erigga, 24, was arrested for killing his 30-year-old lover, Happiness Winfred. It was learnt that Erriga, after reportedly murdering his lover, dumped her in a well in his compound.
However, one of Erriga’s neighbours, Abu Benson, lodged a complaint at the Ojoo Police Station in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, that a dead body was found inside a well on June 25. The corpse was identified as Winfred.

The police eventually arrested the culprit and promised that the law will take its full course.
