Nasarawa State Police Command, says it has arrested one Muhammad Haladu over alleged impersonation as an army officer on full military camouflage
Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement issued in Lafia noted that Haladu who claimed to being attached to 231 battalion, Biu Borno state was arrested in Awe Local Government Area.
Nansel added that the alleged impostor was caught by two soldiers who were on break and handed him over to the Awe Division of the Nigeria Police.

The suspect is said to have been defrauding unsuspecting members of the public with the claim of securing employment for them in the Nigerian Army.

According to the statement, one Kabiru Alhaji Yusuf, an alleged notorious armed robbery suspect was also arrested with one AK-47 rifle during an operation following intelligence report while two others escaped.
State Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada lauded the efforts of the officers in containing criminal activities in the state, tasking them to redouble their efforts to ensure a better and crime-free society.
