A gang of criminals, who specialized in robbing supermarkets and automated teller machines in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, have been arrested by the state police command.
Also arrested and paraded at the Headquarters of the State Police Command in Uyo, are killers of two policemen.
Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko Macedon, confirmed that Car Snatchers were also among those arrested and confessed to the crime which led to some of the stolen property being recovered.

The PPRO maintained that the Commissioner of Police, Amiengheme Andrew has zero-tolerance for crime and had given men of the command a marching order to make life difficult for criminal elements in the state.
