The Police in Edo State says, a suspect linked to the rape and murder of a UNIBEN undergraduate student, Uwaila Omozuwa has been arrested and put in custody at the Criminal Investigation Department.
Edo Police Command’s spokesman, Chidi Nwabuzor, says the suspect was arrested, following the screening of finger prints on the fire extinguisher, allegedly used to smash the deceased’s head.
She was said to have been studying inside the Redeemed Christian Church of God, off Agbor Road in Ikpoba Okha, last Wednesday when the incident occurred.
Nwabuzor reveals that the Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Adamu, had dispatched forensic experts from the Force Headquarters, to assist with the investigation.

Uwaila Omozuwa, a hundred level Microbiology student of the University of Benin, was on Wednesday, 27th of May, alleged to have been gang-raped and beaten to a state of coma, inside her church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Province 10, Ikpoba Okha.
She was said to have died days after.
