Two suspects are now telling operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command their connection to the vandalisation of electric cables and poles along the Gitata–Gunduma Road.
In a statement, the Nasarawa state police public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, said
the suspects were identified as 41-year-old Chigozie Igbokwe and 45-year-old Emmanuel John both of Jikwoyi, FCT Abuja.
The Nasarawa state police public Relations Officer said a patrol team attached to the Gitata Division, while on routine patrol along the Gitata–Gunduma Road, apprehended two suspects involved in the vandalisation of electric cables and poles.

Items recovered from the suspects included iron cutters, pliers, spanners, vandalised electric cables, and one grey Hyundai Sonata vehicle with registration number GWA 44 PM, which was used to convey the vandalised items.
According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, has ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Lafia, for discreet investigation and prosecution.
The Command reaffirms its commitment to protecting critical national infrastructure and urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
