Acting on credible intelligence and in view of the determination and resilience of the combined team of Policemen, Military and members of the vigilante, Eight victims of the kidnap incident of October 6, 2024, at Kanya District of Danko/Wasagu LGA of Kebbi State, have been rescued unhurt within Sakaba forest after a gun duel.
The victims rescued on Tuesday have since been reunited with their families after medical attention at General Hospital, Sakaba.
While search and rescue operation was ongoing, the body of the district head of Kanya, ISAH DAYA was found in the forest.
The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Bello Sani condoles with the Kebbi State government, Zuru emirate, immediate family and well wishers of the late district head of Kanya, Alhaji ISAH DAYA and prayed that his gentle soul continue to rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
