Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 5 Benin, Tanko Jimeta is dead.
The zone’s public Relations Officer Tijani Momoh confirmed his death to AIT On Sunday morning via a telephone call.

According to the zone’s spokesman, the AIG died at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City Edo State after a brief illness.
Jimeta was a commissioner of Police in Edo state shortly before he became AIG zone five comprising Edo, Delta, and Bayelsa states in January 2022.
