The Oyo State Police Command has foiled a planned attack on Elebe Village, neutralizing two bandits in an intelligence-led operation.
Police received a tip-off that about 10 armed men hiding in a farm settlement were planning to attack the village.
Security operatives, with the help of local hunters, mobilized to the scene. A gun duel ensued, and two bandits were neutralized.
Recovered items include a locally-made pistol, cartridges, and phones.
The area is secured, and intensive surveillance is ongoing to apprehend fleeing suspects.
