Operatives of Dragon 18 Patrol Team from the Delta State Police Command have rescued a sixty-two year old kidnap victim during routine Stop-and-Search Operation along ECN/Otu-Jeremi Aladja road in Ughelli-South Council Area.
According to the Police, the abductors who opened gunfire on the Police from their Sports Utility Vehicle, (SUV) after the victim raised the alarm at the search operation fled after running out of bullets.

The kidnap victim was rescued unhurt and an AK-47 magazine loaded with eight rounds of 7.62 millimetre ammunition was also recovered.
Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed in a statement signed by the Delta State Police Command Spokesperson, Bright Edafe said operatives of ‘B’ Division Warri Patrol Team in a separate incident also foiled another robbery operation along Lower Erejuwa road in Warri-South Local Government Area, killing the gang leader who had been on the Command’s wanted list.
The statement further says one Cut-to-Size Double Barrel Gun, a live cartridge and two other expendables were recovered while officers from the Command were on the trail of all fleeing suspects.
