The Police in Katsina State has confirmed fresh bandit attack on Yasore community of Batsari Local Government Area.
The spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, said 10 persons were killed while 11 others sustained injuries.
He said the attacks were reprisal, due to the killing of some Fulanis by the outlawed Yan’sakai.
Isah added that recently, members of Yan’sakai have been going around the community killing the Fulani people and the bandits went there on a revenge mission.
A source in the area had said that the bandits, numbering over 30, came from their hideouts in the Birnin Gwari Forest in Kaduna State, stormed the community and other neighbouring communities on motorcycles.
