The Police in Niger State have arrested twenty-four-year-old Emmanuel Dominic for parading himself as a soldier.
The suspect, according to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent Wasiu Abiodun, indicated that the suspect went to secure the release of his friend, wearing a Nigerian Army camouflage with service No.05313, attached to the Training and Doctrine Command, TRADOC, Minna.

During interrogation, the suspect was discovered to be a fake soldier and was arrested.
He told the Nigerian Police that the uniform belonged to his late father who he said was a soldier.
Exhibits recovered from the suspect included a carved wooden gun, two axes, a jack-knife, two kits, two green trousers, as well as one army camouflaged vest, shirt, boot, face cap and a walking stick.
The suspect will be arraigned in court, immediately investigation is concluded.
